I'm not really sure if I'll ever use this blog for any purpose other than being able to respond to other blogs...having said that...hear goes an attempt to try to share some of my experiences with you.

We moved to El Salvador in Jan. 08 with so many ideas of how our ministry would look and how our lives would impact others. Really, it doesn't look all that much the way we thought, but I suspect it looks exactly the way the Lord desires.

I have recently began two ladies Bible studies. We are doing "A heart like His" by Beth Moore. We are off to a great start!!! The "theme" that keeps coming back to me over and over again is...obedience. Really our lives are ONLY successful when we are completely 100% obedient to the God of the universe. How that looks for me will be different than anyone else. We get so caught up in a world that measure "success" by so many different standards like in "results" that we get confused over what we are doing... is successful or not.

Me being successful in El Salvador isn't going to be measured by what I "produce" but rather was I obedient to what God called me to do here. I love the fact that hundreds are making professions of faith and I'm seeing results from us ladies studying the Bible, but all that matters is...Father, is this what you desire me to be doing??

I pray that each day, each new opportunity that comes up that I would stop and ask the Father, "If I do this am I being obedient to your plan or just doing my thing?"
